The Process

The basic process in preparations of your new or redesigned website is outlined below.

We perform an Initial consultation to determine the goals of the website.

If you haven't already, We suggest that you view other websites of the same business caliber for your own comparison. Write down the features you like about the different websites so we can get a better idea of what you would like in your website. (e.g. Request a quote page, About your company page, Contact page, Etc.).

Once we decide on what type of content and a rough number of pages you want in your website. We can then rough out a price. We will explain how domain names and hosting packages work and guide you through every step of the way. Domain names can cost from $6.95 up to $35.00 depending on who you register your domain name with. Hosting a website will depend on what your website requires for components, in most cases you can host a website somewhere in the ballpark $130.00 to $230.00 per year using my resources.

Next we gather your information and put together some design concepts for you to look at. We do this until you are comfortable with a design that matches your brand and what you were looking for. Once you the client and us the designers have agreed on a design concept, we begin the the first phase of programming.

Along the way, we may asked for photos or text that you may have to provide, businesses usually get this from their existing brochures, mailers and sometimes will be asked to write copy for certain pages.

Eventually, reviewing the site we reach a point where it's time to "go live" with the website. This means we allow the world to view your new or redesigned website by typing your domain name into the address bar at the top of ones browser.

Search Engine Optimization

Once live, the website is edited and revised in a live status, per clients request.

When the client is satisfied with the website, it is then submitted to search engines, such as Google and yahoo, to be placed in their data bases.

At this stage of the process, various search engine options will be considered. The placement of the website with the appropriate search engines will determine the amount of traffic your website will receive.

There are two ways in which the listing of a website can be submitted in a search engine. One uses keywords and website descriptions. This kind of listing may take longer for your website to be displayed.

The other option is to pay for a more prominent display of your website higher on the list of search results. This, of course, puts your website ahead of your competition. (This is where the trick to Search Engine Optimization comes into play if you let us help you.) It's not what you think, we don't just set up adwords for your site.
